Are you in search of a place where calm , health and happiness are a daily norm? Honestly , if you like the mountains, love skiing, hiking, picking and eating big juicy huckleberries, swimming in mountain lakes and streams , observing wildlife , our townhouses at the base of Castle Mountain in the Canadian Rockies, are just the spot for you, your friends, your family.
The Castle mountain region of southern Alberta, Canada is a very unique place in the world. It is within the boundaries of an ecologically protected region where water , wildlife and low impact recreation can thrive. Development in the Castle Provincial Park is limited and so as a potential owner of a Howling Coyote unit, you are ensured peace and quality of life for the long term no matter what. Castle Mountain Resort is outside your door and located in the heart of Castle Provincial Park 45 km from Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass. Calgary international airport is under 3 hours away and the Cranbrook , BC airport is 2 hours and 15 mins away.
The name of our units, "Howling Coyote" pays homage to the wild and resourceful animal that thrives with an environment rich in fresh air, clean water, wildlife, peace and tranquility. It's also the sound you might find yourself making when you ride or ski the thiegh deep powder on Drifter or Outrigger. It's a "whoop" or howl of celebration because the powder snow is light, so light. This part of the Rockies has very little moisture in the snowpack. We have skied all over the world , and Castle Mountain powder is incredible!
Also, if you are a keen powder hound, you can book a day or several with the Powder Stagecoach- a guided snowcat skiing powder experience. The only operation of it's kind in Alberta.
